On the Hunt for Wallpaper?

Written by: Shelley Amato - Adorn Design Group

OK, I’LL BE HONEST I’M REALLY NOT OVER THE WHOLE WALLPAPER THING. AS A MATTER OF FACT I TRY TO INCORPORATE IT INTO EVERY ONE OF MY DESIGNS.

If done right, wallpaper can be just as effective in achieving that wow factor as that great chandelier or that heirloom anchor piece everyone sees when they first walk into the room.

Wallpaper yes Wallpaper.

Daunting to say the least not only to shop for but also to commit to let alone hang. This is one of those design elements that if handled wrong watch out.. expect sleepless nights and bouts of anxiety. But, if done correctly it will MAKE THE ROOM..

Wallpaper not only provides a pattern to a room but can actually make the rest of the room easier to design because well, one you now have a pattern choice, two your color concept has just been decided and three the theme of the room had been created. BAM ! high impact.

Clients are always asking me, “who are your go-to vendors for wallpaper”. While some completely shy away from the suggestions, many these days are open to further discussions.

Looking back at my projects, I find more than 70% of my rooms have been wallpapered. The rooms where I splurged with wallpaper in my experience were easier to design and looked more pulled together.

Wallpaper offers something special to help set the tone, makes things more simple and super special.

To show a few examples here are some of the projects I’ve done with wallpaper. For this blog, I’m narrowing it down to my top 3 picks.

Phillip Jeffries
