StarrMiller Interior Design is the only interior design firm in the Charlotte area that focuses on a true client-collaborative approach to design. Our Principal, StarrMiller is a graduate in Interior Design from the prestigious Parsons School of Design in NYC and the firm has won the National Interior Design Society DOTY (Designer of the Year) award six times, as well as the National First Place winner of the DACOR Traditional Kitchen Design Contest. Additionally, Starr was the first Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) Designer in the area. Starr writes a long-standing, bi-monthly expert column about interior design for Lake Norman Woman Magazine and she was the force behind the 2020 IDS Charlotte Showhouses project; Prior to moving to North Carolina, she was a designer for HGTVs Save My Bath. Starr insists that her firm specialize in truly personalized projects and feels the key is to find the essence of the client and then delight them with their reflection; There is nothing cookie-cutter about a SMID design.
