Judy Gooch
Judy Gooch received her Masters Degree in Furnishings and Interiors from the University of Georgia in 1976. She returned to her undergraduate alma mater, Carson Newman University, to develop their Interior Design curriculum in 1981 and taught as an Adjunct instructor for 11 years. Since 1993, she and her husband, Warren, have lived in Oak Ridge, TN where she has owned Judy Gooch Interiors for 27 years. Her love is residential design of all styles, and Judy seeks to make sure her designs reflect her clients styles.
Judy sincerely believes that people of all economic levels deserve good design. She is active in the Knoxville Chapter of the Interior Design Society, serving twice as their chapter President. Judy has won national recognition for her submissions to IDS's Designer of the Year competitions, Winning First Place for the Category of Bathrooms $30,000 and Over in 2018-2019, First Place for the Category of Wine Room in 2016, and Second Place the Category of Bathrooms $30,000 and up in 2014.
In addition to design work, Judy has spearheaded several projects to mentor interior design students at local colleges and universities. She continues to volunteer to serve on college departmental boards that have interior design programs.
